After the official introduction of the regulations on feed, the long-used drug growth promoter additives in the feed face the risk of withdrawal. The search for alternatives has become a priority, and butyric acid lipids are undoubtedly the star product in this wave of resistance replacement.
Studies have shown that tributyrin promotes mesenteric lymph node development, regulates anti-inflammatory signaling pathways, and improves intestinal epithelial barrier function. Endogenous butyric acid is mostly produced in the large intestine, while the concentration of butyric acid in the small intestine is low.
Due to the unique structure of butyric acid, it can be directly used as a fast energy source by intestinal epithelial cells without going through the hepatobiliary and tricarboxylic acid cycles, and can provide more than 70% of fast energy to colonic mucosal epithelial cells.
Butyric acid can promote the growth and development of intestinal villi, thus enhancing the digestive and absorption ability of animals; at the same time, it helps to repair damaged intestinal mucosal cells, stimulate and induce the expression of intestinal mucus layer mucin and secretory immunoglobulin A, maintain the integrity of intestinal mucosa, and enhance the barrier function of intestine, thus reducing the damage caused by foreign harmful substances to the body.
Butyric acid is an important source of energy for colonic epithelial cells. If butyric acid is lacking in the colon or cannot be oxidized, it will lead to nutritional deficiency of colonic epithelial cells, thus causing colitis. In addition, butyric acid can control the expression of genes encoding pro-inflammatory cytokines, growth factors, heat kinins, inflammation-inducing enzymes, etc. by inhibiting nuclear factor κB.
In conclusion, butyric acid can exert anti-inflammatory effects through a variety of different mechanisms. Of course, butyric acid is also an important means to reduce the inflammatory response by enhancing the barrier function of the intestinal mucosa.
There are many studies that point to the bactericidal ability of butyric acid in vitro. This effect of butyric acid is similar to that of acidifiers in that butyric acid enters the cells of bacteria in molecular form and kills them.
Many experiments have demonstrated that the addition of butyric acid increases the relative abundance of Lactobacillus in the intestine while decreasing the relative abundance of Clostridium perfringens. Butyric acid also down-regulates the expression of genes that enhance the pathogenicity of Salmonella typhimurium and reduces the number of Salmonella enterica in the cecum and the excretion of this bacterium in the feces.
Tridecanoic acid glycerides are used on young animals to reduce post-weaning, reduce weaning stress, and increase survival and daily weight gain. Its main uses in animal husbandry can be summarized as follows:
Mucous membrane protection --- even absorption in the foregut, midgut and hindgut, effective repair of intestinal mucous membrane damage, comprehensive protection of intestinal mucous membrane;
Promote lactation---promote sows to eat, promote sows to lactate;
Fast energy supply---provide energy for intestinal mucosa cells quickly, promote intestinal mucosa quickly;
Long neatness---promote the feeding of weaned piglets, improve the absorption of nutrients, and significantly improve the neatness of pig herd.
ZANCHENG has a strategic partnership with the largest butyric acid producer in China, with an annual production capacity of 50,000 tons of butyric acid and 20,000 tons of tributyric acid. Our sister company Eubiotics specializes in dealing with the field of animal intestinal health. We can supply triglycerides with a maximum purity of 99%min. This is better than any other place in China. Your inquiries are welcome.
