Changes on the Market for China Vitamin Products

Since the second half of 2021, the market demand for vitamin raw materials has entered the off-season, and manufacturers have begun to shut down to maintain their equipment. 

Covid-19 epidemics still happens uninterruptedly, the domestic corn market is stable with a decline, chemical products fluctuate slightly, these changes in the general environment for most vitamin raw materials have no big impact. The market changes in the later period mainly come from the supply and demand of the products as well as the downstream demand. The overall market situation is weak and is expected to show slight fluctuations after September.

Vitamin C and vitamin E, as the two largest products, still maintain a better price in the third quarter; while vitamin B5 as the largest product, is in fierce competition, and the price is still at a low level; Compared to previous years, vitamin B1, B6 has lost the market, vitamin B2, biotin remain stable; vitamin A, K3, nicotinamide still has a good market in the first half of the year. Vitamin E: transaction prices rise

Recently vitamin E manufacturers shut down and do the equipment maintenance. Quotation for feed-grade products is stopped.  At present, the export price of feed grade products is at $10-11/kg, and the domestic market offer of vitamin E is at $70-75/kg and 98% oil is at $180/kg.

Vitamin C: the hegemonic position of the product

Regardless of scale or price, Vitamin C raw materials maintain a stable dominant position. Manufacturers began to shut down and maintain the equipment. Currently the food-grade price at about 50 yuan/kg, which is a small decline compared with the first half of the year. Vitamin C phosphate ester price at 20-22 yuan/kg or so, the market demand is general. It is expected that the transaction price in the second half of the year is stable and slightly lower.

Vitamin A: more quotes for small products

Recently Xinhecheng vitamin A offer back to 350 yuan/kg, Zhejiang Pharmaceutical, Jindawei, and other manufacturers continue to stop offer in the domestic market. The current feed grade export price of $ 70-75 / kg, Zhejiang medicine The market is mainly stable in the future.

Vitamin B5: the price is stable

Vitamin b5 is a scale product. The exportation quantity is nearly 18,000 tons. The current market price is about 70 yuan/kg. 

Vitamin B2: prices fell to the bottom

The price of vitamin B2 feed grade was raised to 125 yuan/kg in the first half of the year, but the good times did not last long. Since the second half of the year, the price of vitamin B2 has fallen back and demand has weakened. Feed grade products are priced at RMB 90-98/kg, and small manufacturers offer RMB 80/kg. It is expected that, in the short term, it is difficult for the market to go higher.

Vitamin B12: facing competition

Weak market demand for vitamin B12 in the second half of the year and prices have declined slightly. At present, cyanocobalamin export offer 13,800-14,000 yuan/kg, feed grade offer at 130-135 yuan/kg, domestic CP version price at 65,000-70,000 yuan/kg, in addition, the new vitamin B12 project of XINHECHENG Heilongjiang and Guangji Pharmaceutical is under construction. It is expected that the price will be stable in the future.

Vitamin B6: Preserving Oligopoly Status

Vitamin B6 demand has continued to grow in recent years, although there are many manufacturers, the competitive situation is still oligopolistic, Jiangxi Tianxin holds more than half of the market share. At present, vitamin B6 feed grade offered at about 130 yuan/kg, the demand in general, mainly to run the low-priced stock before, the price doesn't change in the short term.

Vitamin B1: remain stable

Vitamin B1 nitrate offer at 155-160 yuan/kg, hydrochloride offer at 200-210 yuan/kg, market demand is weak. The overall market is expected to remain stable in the second half of the year, with slightly lower transaction prices.

Biotin: prices went down

The recent biotin market has not changed much, the market price of feed grade is around 60-65 yuan/kg, the transaction price is slightly lower, the pure product export offer is around 360-400 dollars/kg; compared with the first half of the year, the price is slightly lower.

Folic acid: high concentration

Prices have increased in the second half of the year, the mainstream manufacturers offer high prices, basically above 400 yuan/kg, while the market transaction price at 280-320 yuan/kg, the supply is tight. It is expected that the transaction price is slightly higher later.

Niacinamide (vitamin B3): price increase

The recent market price of nicotinamide is stable; on June 15, Brother Technology raised its offer to 68 yuan/kg; Lamborghini, Shandong Kunda Biological, Anhui Ruibang offer at 68 yuan/kg. The current market guide price is at 52-55 yuan/kg. It is expected that the price will go rise up in the future.

Vitamin K3: there are fluctuations in the market

In the first half of this year, the vitamin K3 market price go ups and downs. At present, vitamin K3 prices are high and strong, manufacturers MSB offer at 85 yuan/kg, MNB offer at 105 yuan/kg, the actual transaction price is slightly lower. It is expected that the market is still tight in the future.

Vitamin D3: the transaction price is low

Vitamin D3 market fell slightly, the mainstream manufacturers offer high prices, while the transaction price is low. Vitamin D3 feed grade market price is at about 95 yuan/kg, pharmaceutical grade products are at 18,000-20000 yuan / KG, the overall market demand is weak.
